Webinar: AANHPI Voting Rights and Voting with Lived Experience

This November 7th, join NAAPIEN’s next community network call focused on “AANHPI Voting Rights and Voting with Lived Experience”. This webinar will feature NAAPIEN Steering Committee Member, the Honorable Joshua Ang Price, former Election Commissioner of Pulaski County, AR, and an Asian American with lived mental health experience.

During this webinar, Joshua will share his experiences as a former Election Commissioner and uplift stories of other AANHPI individuals who faced challenges during the Election process. Learn about ways you can get involved in getting out the vote while supporting your wellness and others in your community this Election season.

This webinar will officially mark the launch of NAAPIMHA’s Vote for Wellness Initiative, a voter engagement campaign supporting AANHPI communities to get out the vote while centering their mental health and well-being this Election season.

The goals of the initiative are to increase voter participation within AANHPI communities by 1) providing voter education and voter registration support to AANHPI individuals with mental disabilities and/or the loved ones who support them and 2) providing voter education through the lens of mental health education to inform AANHPI voters of candidate positions on mental health.
