NAAPIMHA FALL 2026 CAMPAIGN
BE THE CONNECTION
Support culturally responsive mental health resources, partnerships, and change
September marks Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Across Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities, too many people still face barriers to mental health support that reflect their cultures, experiences, and communities.
In 2024, Asian American adults were 45% less likely, and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander adults 60% less likely, than U.S. adults overall to have received mental health treatment. In 2023, NHPI high school students were 61% more likely than students nationwide to report attempting suicide.*
Behind these numbers are individuals, families, caregivers, and communities seeking help and support.
NAAPIMHA helps make important connections possible:
-
People and communities to culturally relevant mental health resources
-
Community organizations to training, tools, and one another
-
Lived experience to advocacy and systems change
-
AANHPI mental health priorities to national conversations and action
Your gift helps expand access to resources and training, strengthen community capacity, elevate lived experience, and advocate for mental health systems that better serve AANHPI communities.
BE THE CONNECTION.

"National AANHPI Mental Health day is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. It’s a time for us to pause, reflect, and recommit to breaking the stigma around mental health in our communities and to advocate for healing that is rooted in culture and care."
