Advocacy
Advocacy plays a critical role in promoting the mental health and well-being of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Mental health, particularly in AANHPI communities, continues to be an area that is severely under-resourced, and as a result, accessing culturally competent services is an ongoing challenge.
Advocacy gives us a voice. In advocating, we can demand resources that support a broader understanding of mental health. Mental health support for our communities includes language accessible services, culturally relevant practices, and traditional modes of healing. NAAPIMHA is dedicated to advocating for AANHPI communities through policies and actions because mental health touches everyone, and in today's world, it is more important than ever.
