On May 28, NAAPIMHA joined Stop AAPI Hate Virtual Town Hall, which shared the latest findings on the state of anti-AA/PI hate from Stop AAPI Hate’s national survey, conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago. NAAPIMHA Deputy Director Krystle Canare joined a panel alongside the Stop AAPI Hate Data Team and AAPI Equity Alliance where they collectively shared the latest data on anti-AA/PI hate, must-have information on community support for impacted people and their loved ones, and direct actions you can take to prevent and confront anti-AA/PI hate.
Here are some of the resources shared:
For Reporting Hate:
You can also report an incident of hate directly at a government reporting center if you are located in Los Angeles, California, New York, or Illinois.
For Mental Health Resources:
Check out National AAPI Mental Health Association for their resource toolbox for addressing hate and mental health trainings.
Find support groups and a directory of Asian therapists through NAAPIMHA, the Asian Mental Health Collective and the Asian Mental Health Project.
