 for a live conversation centering/celebrating Asian American representation in media, queer joy, and the advancement of mental health visibility!

More info: Rachel Leyco and Sheena Midori Brevig, independent, award-winning filmmakers, are the co-creators of the web series CRAZY that follows queer Asian-American frenemies who navigate romantic entanglements while battling mental illnesses that teach them they’re more alike than they realize. This project is a self-funded, six-episode series that hired majority LGBTQ+, BIPOC, women, & nonbinary filmmakers & actors. Crazy premiered at Outfest LA in 2022 and Inside Out 2020.

Virtual Screening + Panel Event 

NAAPIMHA invites you to a free virtual screening of Dealing With Dad, a film centered around an Asian American family and mental health on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 starting at 3:30 PM PST/6:30 PM EST! 

We will screen the film (available in English with closed captions) live and then following the screening we will be hosting a panel on Zoom including writer/director Tom Huang for a discussion of the mental health, cultural, and intergenerational themes of the film, the power of storytelling in mental health, and time for Q+A!
