National Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Mental Health Day
Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, Congresswoman Chu
submitted a historic resolution to Congress designating May 10, 2021
as ‘‘National Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Mental Health Day’’.
May is AANHPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month
The mission of the National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association (NAAPIMHA) is to promote the mental health and well being of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Since its founding, NAAPIMHA strives to raise awareness of the role of mental health in an individual’s health and well-being, especially in Asian American Pacific Islander communities throughout the country.
We believe healing happens when we (re)claim who we are as Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders...because that too is mental HEALTH.
